How it works
Alongside a random gacha draw, the game offers a way to obtain the desired item with certainty — but the guaranteed route is priced substantially higher than the average cost of simply gambling for it. It is aimed at players who want to escape the uncertainty, often after a run of bad luck.
Why it can be harmful
It monetises the distress the randomness itself creates, charging a premium for relief from a problem the design manufactured. Because the “safe” option is usually worse value than continued gambling — a comparison the interface does not surface — it preys on loss-chasing and concentrates on the highest spenders.
